The sensitive, feeling souls, some call us fools,

are aware of the narcissistic turn of the world.

The hedonistic momentum that has built up to allow this all to happen.

Those in power always represent the state of societal consciousness.

We speak truth, a language that only sensitive souls know fluently from birth.

Others may pick up on words here and there.

We are the divine walking on Earth,

Itching in our own bodies, uncomfortable with life.

We warn you in poems, songs, art, visions.

That the United States and other countries are headed in the wrong direction. 

If my voice is stifled one day, know that fascism took over. 

Call us wrong, neurodiverse, spiritual, strange, hyper-sensitive, too sensitive, weird, outcasts,

melancholy, dramatic, crazy, depressed, sad. We have heard it all. 

The sensitive souls with their sixth sense, crystal ball, and shifty eyes, look around to one

another in the room afraid to say the awful words to the world, “I told you so”.

Don’t worry about me.

I can look life straight in the eye and say, “bring it”.

I rally my troops, 

the truth speakers, the sensitive coalitioners  

the gut wrenchers, 

Our sweet facade hides our wreaking breathe.

We will go anywhere in the world to get noticed.

The taj mahal, kremlin, to the wailing wall,

Spewing truth serum,

Ascending from the goblin dens, scaring everyone away.

Oh sensitive souls!

Is there an island we should all go to and hide?

A utopia?

Or is it really better to try?

Agony floods through me.

All my words flow from an unaltered state,

plunging on paper, uncontrolled, spewing, pure, fresh.

So if I’m mad, or sad, or happy, it is all authentic truth. 

Sensitive souls, the ten to twenty percent of the world, like me,

seek solace, love, understanding, and strength.

Let our truth set the world free.
